The goal of the Teaching Research Early Childhood & Training Department is to improve the quality of education for young children through the study, development and demonstration of innovative models of service. We provide a variety of training opportunities to educators, administrators, paraprofessional and related service personnel.

Model demonstration

The Teaching Research Child Development Center (CDC) located on campus at Western Oregon University serves as the model demonstration site for several federally funded projects in addition to providing childcare to students, faculty and the community.
