The Toolkit for Mentoring provides a basic guideline for an
administrator's use in developing a district or individual building
mentor program. The information was developed specifically for
North Carolina's Excellent Schools Act. Components of the toolkit

Mentoring North Carolina Novice Teachers (1998)

This extensive 24 hour training program provides an introductory training
designed to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for
successful mentor teachers. The comprehensive training handbook was
developed by a state-wide committee of experts and provides trainer
delivered content, practice for participants, and participant sharing.
Trainer modules are well developed; providing a script for the trainer,
numerous activities for each module, handouts, and follow-up activities.
