Oregon's coastal region consists of 400 miles of accessible beaches and dunes, lush evergreen forests and the coastal ranges. Known for it's breathtaking scenery and varied recreational opportunities, the coastal region also includes areas of historical significance including the western end of the Lewis & Clark Trail and the oldest American settlement west of the Rockies.

The coastal region is comprised of small communities with a diverse economic base including; dairy farming, timber, tourism, and fishing. Whether you enjoy an active lifestyle with sports like biking, hiking, sea kayaking and surfing, or more sedate activities like whale watching, kite festivals, and beach combing, the Oregon coast has something for everyone.
