E. Options for Providing Professional Development - Introduction
During this section of the tutorial we will present information on options for providing professional development. We will also provide information about a process for determining the professional development needs of your teachers. First, however, we present information on the different levels of outcomes for professional development activities and examples of different modes for providing instruction.
Having determined the professional development needs of special educators, it is important to consider both the level of outcome required to meet their needs and the most appropriate mode for delivering instruction. These two factors play an important role in determining which instructional approaches are most appropriate.
