Work Focus Area Teacher Quality Enhancement

Project Description

Recruiting, preparing, and supporting highly qualified teachers for high need areas in Oregon schools.

The Oregon Quality Assurance in Teaching project is being used to support scholarships for students completing their student teaching and teachers working on adding endorsements and/or their continuing license.  Over the three year project 140 to 200 candidates per year will receive scholarships.  In addition to candidates currently admitted into Oregon’s teacher preparation programs, the scholarships are for candidates to be recruited from the following pools:
